Volkswagen is evolving from a pure automaker into a provider of modern mobility services and smart devices. The comprehensive rebranding was the logical consequence of this strategic reorientation.
For the new brand design, the design and visual language, the corporate identity and the communication style have been entirely revised in just nine months using a powerhouse concept and integrating all departments of the company as well as design specialists from each relevant communicative field.
I've been involved as lead digital creative to develop the UI design and UX principles of the new brand, setup the digital design system and teach agencies and marketers worldwide how to make the new brand tangible on digital touchpoints.
